“It was around March 2019, a partner and also a friend from Korea reached out to Mark and asked to buy a kind of natural chew for his dog. Growing up in Dak Nong province which is well-known for its coffee, Mark decided to give a try with his parents’ and neighbor farmers’ coffee fields.

So he started out with buying raw materials directly from each farmer of surrounding areas. Unfortunately, things were not easy at all in the beginning. There were lots of issues along with skepticism but we never gave up. What we only got at that time was simple curiosity and curiosity and determination. ”

“With the available tools and materials, we began experimenting with the first batch. Our goal was to create natural, chemical free toys for dogs to enjoy without any harm. Yet it is easier said than done. At one point we paid a visit to Korea Viet Nam Incubator Park (KVIP) located 500km away from our workshop where advanced technologies were available.

Finally, after 2 years of trying and failing, we successfully managed to produce a batch of coffee wood chews with exceptionally high quality. Moving forward we exported to many countries with high standards and requirements such as The United Kingdom, Poland, The Netherlands, Hungary, Japan, Hong Kong, etc. We take our pride in providing jobs and happiness for people in our hometown and at the same time in creating safer toys for dogs across the globe to chew and play with their owners. Very small cracks on the product are still allowed because the product does not contain any preservatives or additives, so the finished product cannot reach 100%. However, large cracks that we can easily see on the product are considered defective products, we will not sell such products in the market. If you receive the product with a manufacturing defect, we will compensate you for the product.

The coffee wood drying process is entirely natural. After we purchase the raw coffee wood from farmers, it is brought to our factory where it is sorted by size. Then, it is exposed to sunlight for 7 – 10 days, depending on the freshness of the coffee wood and the size of the logs. Larger logs require more time for drying.
Afterwards, they are placed into storage rooms where the temperature is controlled to avoid direct sunlight, yet still provides warmth to effectively dry the core of the coffee wood. The ideal moisture content of coffee wood is referred to as being between 12-14 %.

After the products are cleaned and cut to the required dimensions as specified by the buyer, we will store the products in a humidity-controlled room. In this room, external moisture is completely avoided, and the products are maintained at a temperature of 26 – 29 degrees Celsius. Once the desired moisture level is achieved, they will be stored in vacuum-sealed bags.

Coffee wood dog toys are crafted entirely from natural coffee wood. However, these are toys and not food items. Therefore, when you introduce these toys to your furry friend, pay attention during the initial play sessions. If your dog tends to chew excessively and tries to consume the wood, it’s advisable to replace the toy. On the other hand, if your dog chews and only swallows a small amount, it’s generally safe, as it will be digested over time.

In fact, this is coffee wood that has a lifespan of 15 – 20 years. It’s handcrafted and meticulously selected. Therefore, if you store it in a vacuum-sealed bag, it will last a very long time. However, our regulations stipulate that the product cannot be labeled with a time frame exceeding 24 months.
